Grotti successfully completed works in the Karawanks railway tunnel connecting Austria and Slovenia.
The complex project, which entailed high-precision cutting in order to make indents in the tunnel ceiling, continued for about two months. First the layer
of concrete over the original lining was removed, followed by cuts into the ceiling made of different stone with high hardness and abrasion.
The indents allowed for structural reinforcement systems to be progressively installed as the cutting operations were completed.
