The GTF® system was designed to provide an advanced, totally unique solution for performing milling applications.
Grotti S.r.l. developed a technology specifically for milling the concrete linings of road and rail tunnels.
A constantly evolving technology, the GTF® system has proved very efficient for performing other applications too: structural cuts, drain channels, cable ducts, inserts, trenches, as well as the demolition of the inverted arch for the consolidation of excavated tunnels.
The GTF® system enables the use of attachments with high productivity for milling containment walls, cutting concrete and demolishing other structural elements such as kerbs.
Today the GTF® rental fleet is made up of nine machines on three tracked models: the GTF® 200.2 RC, GTF® 400.2 RC and GTF® 600 RC, all radio-controlled and fitted with telescopic boom. The three models differ from each other in terms of weight, size and hydraulic capacity, but all share the same features of precision and productivity that are trademarks of GTF® technology.
In addition to these is the GTF® 250 RC, which maintains the features of the others, but is mounted on a modified truck to allow the job to be executed in particular application conditions.
The GTF® system also makes use of special attachments designed and built to withstand the toughest applications. The rental fleet of Grotti S.r.l. includes over 25 attachments to take on a wide range of applications.
The machine is the result of a special project and is designed to offer the maximum hydraulic power, while staying within the dimensions and weight for road approval (2.55 m and 30 tons in the standard outfit). The GTF® 400.2 RC is radio-controlled and fitted with a Stage V engine complying with the latest emissions specifications.
With its patented control system for boom descent, the GTF® 400.2 RC maximizes the available hydraulic power, regardless of the compressive strength of the concrete (expressed in MPa) to be milled. Designed to stand up to the heaviest applications, the GTF® 400.2 RC also features excellent structural strength and can be mounted with all the attachments of the GTF® series.

Like the GTF 400.2 RC, this machine is radio-controlled and has the same dimensional characteristics and performance; however, unlike the most recent model, it has an engine with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) complying with Stage IIIA specifications.
The GTF 200.2 RC is noted for its high structural strength that allows it to take on the most challenging applications and can mount all the attachments of the GTF® series.

The GTF® 250 RC consists of a module mounted on a truck, which allows it to be self-propelled and able to arrive on site without the use of trailers or other transport.
Mounted with an engine with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and having a lower hydraulic power compared to GTF® models, the GTF® 250 RC can be used when spaces are tight on the work site and a more compact machine is needed. The GTF® 250 RC has the capacity to mill surfaces with right angles, sloped or curved with attachments fitted with 5-60 cm drums.
The boom configuration allows it to operate sideways, on the ground and in the negative, but also to rotate the equipment 90°, and thus use it both horizontally and vertically. In working trim, the GTF® 250 RC operates with a hydrostatic system and is controlled by a radio remote control that allows it to manage all functions remotely, so as to improve operator visibility and safety.

The machine originated from a special design that features a very robust, modular structure to perform tough applications that the GTF® 200.2 RC and GTF® 400.2 RC would not be able to execute with the required productivity. The GTF® 600 RC is fitted with a boom sized to withstand heavy stresses typical of excavation with a double drum cutter head, even when tackling material exceeding the 100 MPa of certain rocks.
The GTF® 600 RC has a diesel engine with DPF that complies with Stage IIIA specifications. It is radio-controlled and when mounted with double drum cutter heads can be used for the demolition of very thick concrete structures or for excavating niches and safety areas, as well as for organizing and preparing areas to be quarried.
Designed to excavate small tunnels, water conveyance channels for different types of basins, and tunnels linking main tubes of road or rail infrastructure, the GTF® 600 RC can also be used in place of large and costly roadheaders for excavating larger tunnels.
